Rob Hunt Hired As Head Trainer At Southeast Missouri State

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - Rob Hunt, ATC, assistant athletic trainer at the University of Missouri-Columbia, has been hired as head athletic trainer at Southeast Missouri State University.

Hunt, who will begin his new duties on April 1, received his undergraduate degree in athletic training at Ball State University and his Masters of Education in Health Education-Wellness and Promotion at Missouri.

After serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Missouri from 1997-1999, Hunt joined the Tiger staff in 1999 as an assistant trainer working with the football team, women's swimming team and women's cross-country and track teams. His duties included facilitating injury prevention, injury evaluation, injury rehabilitation and medical record keeping. He also assisted with Big 12, NCAA and institutional drug testing procedures.

In 2001, Hunt was appointed director of rehabilitation services in addition to his duties as assistant athletic trainer. He has served the past two years as assistant athletic trainer for Missouri's football and men's and women's swimming teams. He also coordinated third party reimbursement for athletic training services and supervised four graduate assistant trainers.
