Doggone; Southeast to Host Third Annual Dog Day at Eastern Illinois Baseball Game

After being rained out two weeks ago, Southeast to hold event this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Capaha Park.


The third annual "Dog Day at Capaha Park" will be held Sunday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The third annual "Dog Day at Capaha Park" has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Capaha Park. The festivities will go along with the Southeast Missouri State baseball game versus Eastern Illinois.

Baseball fans and pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to Capaha Park to receive free food, prizes and dog bathing. Dr. Cynthia Sprigg will also be on hand to provide micro-chip identification.

Several contests will be held at the game, including prizes for the largest and smallest dog, and best looking overall dog.

Admission is free but dog owners are encouraged to bring a bag of food to donate to the Humane Society. This year's event is sponsored by Schnucks.
