When I first participated in the Women's Walk, I
was struck by the willingness of this wonderful
community to participate in such a worthy event.
Since then, I have been able to see just how
this participation has positively impacted not
only Southeast's women athletes, but the entire
athletic department, the Southeast students, and
the community as well..
It is indeed an honor and a privilege for me to
serve as the fourth Walk for Women Chair and to
have the opportunity to assist Southeast
athletes and to work with Cindy Gannon, a woman
whom I greatly admire.
Because I am aware that I am following in the
footsteps of three very outstanding chairwomen,
I am accepting this position with great humility
and with the sincere hope that I might do
justice to their previous leadership."
