Brady Barke is in his second year as Southeast Missouri State's Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Eligibility. He handles the monitoring of all NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference, and Southeast regulations, including recruiting activities, rules interpretations, and eligibility issues.
Prior to joining the staff at Southeast, Barke served as a Governance intern at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, IN. While interning at the NCAA his duties included the reviewing of annual reports submitted by NCAA institutions navigating through the membership process. He also served as a facilitator for the NCAA Division II Regional Leadership Academy.
While pursuing a law degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale he worked in the SIUC Athletics Department assisting in the Compliance Office. There he prepared and submitted initial and continuing eligibilty waivers to the NCAA for approval, he was responsible for ensuring all student-athletes complete necessary eligibility paperwork and was responsible for implementing a new system for monitoring financial aid awarded to student-athletes.
He graduated with a juris doctor degree in 2008 from SIUC.
Barke earned his Bachelor's degree from Webster University in 2004. He was a four-year letter winner on the men's basketball and men's golf teams, receiving all-conference honors in basketball, while also being selected as a finalist for the Jostens Trophy.
Barke currently resides in Cape Girardeau with his wife, Halley.
