The Booster Club is the primary fund raising organization for the Athletics Department at Southeast Missouri State University, and is part of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.
Annual financial support by alumni and friends goes primarily to support athletic scholarships for male and female student-athletes at Southeast. During the 2001-2002 school year, Southeast provided scholarship assistance to nearly 250 student-athletes. The scholarships required over $1,626,940 in athletic revenue.
Southeast competes in NCAA Division I and the Ohio Valley Conference and offers 16 sports:
MEN'S SPORTS: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Indoor & Outdoor Track, Cross Country
WOMEN'S SPORTS: Basketball, Gymnastics, Softball, Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, Indoor & Outdoor Track, Cross Country
Method of Giving
Annual Cash Gifts are the most common form of giving. They allow the athletic department to allocate money to the area of greatest need, mainly for scholarships.
Matching Gifts give you the opportunity to double or triple your gift at no cost to you. Many companies have matching gift programs for contributions by their employees. Check with your company's Benefits Department for matching gift information.
Gift In Kind such as contributions of product, merchandise, equipment, or services are often provided in support of the athletic program. Credit toward membership is given based on the fair market value of the trade-out involved.
Memorial Gifts, established as a scholarship endowment, provide needed financial assistance to our young men and women student-athletes. A memorial fund is a great way to perpetuate a family name while significantly supporting athletics.
Other Giving Options include endowed gifts, real estate, securities, life insurance policies, stocks or monies through trusts and bequests.
