About Us
The Redhawks Success Center is located above the South Recreation Center across from Houck Stadium. We seek to provide a comfortable environment where our student-athletes can achieve academic success. The Center houses 18 personal computers, a tutor-study area and the CHAMPS/Life Skills program.
Challenging Athletes to Personal Success (CHAMPS) strives to encourage student-athletes to grow and mature in the following areas; athletics, academics, career, community service and personal growth. Please look at The Redhawks Report, our student-athlete newsletter, for information on Southeast's ongoing CHAMPS/Life Skills efforts.
Three of our student-athletes; Rochelle Ikeni, Crysta Glenn and Bijon Jones recently volunteered their time to read for children at a local elementary school. Please click here to see the pictures.
It is our hope and desire to see each student achieve their best in their academic and athletic endeavors!

Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC)
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is comprised of one representative from each sport, indluding the spirit groups and athletic trainers. This group is responsible for discussion of existing policy and developing policy as it relates to student-athletes. They facilitate department community service projects and plan non-alcohol social events for student-athletes, as well as the Southeast student population in general. As a representative group, they may bring issues from team members to the SAAC for discussion. Cindy Gannon, Associate Athletic Director/SWA, acts as a liaison to the Director of Athletics who attends at least one meeting per year.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently hosted "Game Night". The athletes had a fun night of playing cards, Rock Band and various other games. Click on the link below to see pictures from the event.
