Redhawk Track and Field Compete at McDonald's Invitational

The Track and Field team headed to SIU-Carbondale once again and competed well.

For the men, Miles Smith continues to put on a show, winning the 200m dash in 21.74 and helping the 4X400m relay team capture second place. Walter Washington also stood out with a second place finish in the 400m dash (48.35). Brandon Karcher earned second in the 5000m run in a time of 15:32.54. Coming in third, Andrew Lambert jumped 6'8.25" in the high jump and Tim Jefferson ran a 22.35 in the 200m dash. The Redhawk 4X400m relay team consisting of Chaz Brown, Walter Washington, Alonzo Nelson,and Miles Smith also finished second.
 

 

On the women's side, Brooke Woodruff continues her 800m reign. She placed second in a time of 2:12.11. Michelle Jett polevaulted 10'6" for third place and Jen Caywood placed fourth in the 3000m run in a time of 10:25.71.

The men and women leave this Thursday for the Iowa State Invitational.
