The Southeast women's indoor track and field team sent just a few athletes to the University of Notre Dame this weekend in an attempt for them to gain personal marks and possibly qualify for next weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

In what many consider the best "last chance meets" in the nation, the Otahkian athletes fell short of NCAA qualifiying, although some did have impressive showings in the non-scored meet.

Freshman Meleisa Greene finished fifth in both the 60m dash and the long jump, with marks of 7.66 and 18' 2.5", respectively.

Heather Jenkins finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 42' 9.75". Kaci Pilcher placed 13th in the 800m with a time of 2:14.60.

Those wishing to view complete results of the Alex Wilson Invitational can access them through the University of Notre Dame's athletic website, www.und.com.

The Alex Wilson Invitational concludes the indoor track and field schedule for Southeast. They will now begin preparation for the outdoor season, which will begin March 23 at the Alabama Invitational.
