Just one week after dominating their own All Sport Relays, Southeast Missouri's men's and women's track and field teams both finished in the top-5 in the Jace Lacoste Invitational at Mississippi State University on Saturday.

The Otahkians placed second and were led by Courtney Haman, who finished fourth and fifth in the high jump and javelin. Laura VanHoevelaak (400m hurdles), Heather Jenkins (discus), Sara Kaznica (pole vault) and Jessie Thompson (3K steeplechase) all finished second in their respective events.

Lindsey Meyr and Meleisa Greene finished third and fourth in the long jump. Hannah Stuckenschneider and LaQuita Andrews finished third and fourth in the 400m. Lori Sarantakis finished third in the pole vault.

The Indians placed fourth and were paced by Jay Heddell, who was a two-time champion in both the shot put and discus. Jaret Willi vaulted to a PR of 17' in the pole vault, good for first place. Shelton Scott finished first in the triple jump.

Adam Shupe continued his impressive senior campaign by finishing second in the 800m. Glenn Haley and David Herman finished fourth and fifth in the 110m hurdles.

Next weekend, Southeast will travel to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Pace Setter Invitational. After the very competitive Drake Relays April 25, Southeast will host the OVC Championships at Abe Stuber Track Complex on March 3-4.
