7/16/09 The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the women's 2009 Division I All-Academic Track and Field teams. The Redhawks took the number 58 spot in the nation with a 3.267 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
7/14/09 Distance runner Juli Koenegstein was named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Track & Field Team for her performance on the track and in the classroom. She was part of a record total of 531 student-athletes representing 146 Division I institutions and the only Redhawk athlete named to the team.
6/27/09 Former Redhawks All-American sprinter Miles Smith's bid to make the US National Team came up short at the 2009 USA Track & Field National Championships held at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon as he finished eighth in the 400 meter finals with a time of 46.09. Smith needed to finish in the top three to garner an automatic berth unto the USA National Team that will compete in the 2009 IAAF World Championships in Berlin, Germany.
