CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Carbondale on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Saluki Booster Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois. The event will be held at the SIU Student Recreation Center.

The Redhawks are coming off of impressive performances at the ASU Kickoff Classic on December 8, in which 14 athletes finished in the top five. The Saluki Booster will be the first meet after the Christmas Break. The Redhawks have spent several months training for the indoor season and are looking forward to this weekend's competition.

Field events will get underway on Friday with the women's weight throw, women's long jump and men's pole vault scheduled for 4 p.m. The field events will resume on Saturday with the women's shot put at 10 a.m. Running events will begin at 10:30 a.m. This will be a non-scoring meet.
