Redhawks Track and Field Sweep Weekly OVC Honors

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State men's and women's track and field teams claimed two weekly honors from the Ohio Valley Conference. Long jumper John Berry was named Male Field Athlete of the Week and Dustin Davis was named Co-Male Track Athlete of the Week for their performances at the Saluki Booster Invitational.

Berry, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., posted a leap of 24'01.50 to win the long jump. The jump puts him at the top of the OVC Best List.

Davis, a freshman from Edwardsville, Ill., ran to a second place finish in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:47.33. The time places him second on the OVC Best List. He shares the weekly honor with Kevin Adamowski, a freshman from Eastern Illinois.
