Southeast Track and Field Travels to Indiana

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The men's and women's track and field teams will be in competition this weekend at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. All events will be held at the Gladstein Fieldhouse facility. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon on Friday and Saturday.

The men's team will be lead by senior Miles Smith who will compete in the 200 meters. Junior Christopher Pointdexter and sophomore Chris Williams will run the 400 meters. Junior John Berry will compete in the long jump and freshman T.J. Walls will compete in the 60 meter dash. Senior Mark McNamara and junior Danny Stults will run the mile and junior Andy Croxford will lead the men in the weight throw.

On the women's side, senior Heather West will compete in the triple jump, freshman Audrey Harwood will compete in the pole vault, and freshman Ashley Brewer will lead the throws. Sophomores Whitney Thomas and Precious Elliot will run the 60 meter dash, while freshman Jerica Hamm will compete in the 400 meters. Freshman Brenda Withworth will run the 600 meter dash and sophomore Juli Koenegstein will run the 3K.

The meet will feature Murray State and Jacksonville State, who are both in the Ohio Valley Conference and several schools from the Big Ten and Big Twelve Conferences as well.
