Shortly after, junior John Berry (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway South) took first in the long jump with a leap of 24'10½". In women's action, sophomore Whitney Thomas (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) captured the 55 meter hurdles by finishing in 8.42 seconds. Other first place finishers for Southeast included freshman T.J.
