Two Redhawks Track and Field Athletes Prepare For Last Chance Meet

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -

Two Southeast Missouri State track and field athletes will have one last chance to secure NCAA automatic marks on two fronts.

John Berry, will have his final attempt in the long jump when he competes at the University of Arkansas on Friday, March 7. Berry was the 2008 OVC Indoor Conference Champion in the long jump with his career and season best of 25-01.50. The mark currently ranks him 20th on the NCAA performance list.

Brandon Colbert is a provisional qualifier in the shot put

Brandon Colbert will also making his final attempt on Friday. He will compete in the shot put at Iowa State. Colbert was the 2008 OVC Indoor Champion in the shot put and weight throw. His career best mark of 58-04.50 set the new school record and is currently ranked 30th in the nation.
