Southeast Track Athletes Compete at Indiana

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Several members of the Southeast Missouri State University track team will compete on Sunday at the Billy Hays Invitational at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Five members of the OVC championship women's team will be in action including Heather Jenkins, the OVC shot put and discus champion who was named the OVC Female Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year. She is already qualified for the NCAA Regional at Ohio State on May 30-31 and will use the Indiana meet as a tune up.

Courtney Haman, also a double winner at the OVC championships with wins in the high jump and javelin, will enter her specialties at Indiana. She is qualified for NCAA Regional competition in both events.

Hannah Stuckenschneider, an NCAA qualifier in the 400-meters, will run the 400 at Indiana and Michelle Jett, and NCAA qualifier in the pole vault, will also enter the meet at Indiana.

Meleisa Greene will be attempting to reach the NCAA qualifying standard in the long jump.

The Southeast men will six entries at Indiana including shot put and discus throwers Brandon Myer and Jay Heddell who are already NCAA qualifiers in each event. Jordan Willi, and NCAA qualifier in the pole vault, will also compete Sunday along with discus thrower Daniel Jones, high jumper Andrew Lambert and shot putter Jeremy Benberry.
