Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Senior pole vaulter Michele Jett of Southeast Missouri State University has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District track and field team.

Jett, the Ohio Valley Conference indoor and outdoor pole vault champion, has a 4.0 grade point average while majoring in nursing. She also won the OVC indoor and outdoor titles in 2004 and was an NCAA regional qualifier in both 2004 and 2006.

A three-time OVC Medal of Honor winner, Jett was a four-time Southeast Scholar Athlete. She has been on the Dean's list at Southeast for four years.

Being a first-team all-district selection puts Jett on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America ballot, voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors Association..
