CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State cross country concluded its season Saturday at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, held at the Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. The men's team finished 15th in the meet with 457 points, while the women's team did not place in the team standings.

Junior Brandon Karcher (Mt. Vernon, Ill.) led the Southeast men in the 10K race with a 55th-place finish at a time of 31:50. Freshman Brandon Funderburk (St. Peters, Mo.) placed 86th with a time of 32:37 and sophomore Dustin Davis (Edwardsville, Ill.) claimed 93rd place at a time of 32:50. Senior Paul Stemmerman (Eureka, Mo.) finished 114th with a time of 33:29, freshman Chris Loseman (St. Charles, Mo.) posted a time of 33:40 for 118th place and freshman Jason Lumpkin (Ballwin, Mo.) was 130th with a time of 34:13.

On the women's side, freshman Brandi Gervais (Waynesville, Mo.) led the Redhawks with a time of 22:08, good for 83rd place. Junior Juli Koenegstein (Chester, Ill.) crossed the finish line with a time of 22:23 to place 97th and freshman Monica Noble (St. Charles, Mo.) finished 151st at a time of 23:43, while freshman Kasey Owens (Eureka, Mo.) placed 172nd with a time of 24:54.
