CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (October 12, 2006) - The Ohio Valley Conference named Kevin McNab as OVC Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Saluki Invitational. The sophomore, from St. Charles, Mo, placed third in the 8K with a time of 25:00.02. His time helped the team finish second overall.

McNab is the first athlete on the men's side to receive the award and the second Southeast runner to receive the OVC honor this season He has been the Redhawks top runner for the past four weeks. He placed 27th out of 325 runners at the Greater Louisville Classic with a time of 25:03.93 and finished second at the EIU Invitational with a time of 25:07.82.

McNab and the Southeast men's team will compete this Saturday at Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. The women's team will compete at the Evansville Invitational in Evansville, Ind.
