Women's Cross Country Team Places Third At Evansville Invitational

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast women's cross country team competed at the Evansville Invitational today on the campus of the University of Evansville. The team scored 80 points to capture third place. Belmont was first with 49 points and Creighton was second with 70 points.

Leading the way for the way for the Redhawks was Juli Koenegstein with a 4th place finish. She posted a time of 18:08.78. Brittni Peck finished 12th with a time of 18:49.13. Following Koenegstein and Peck was Stephanie Harres, who finished 17th with a time of 19:13.11 and Linnea Woldvedt who placed 21st with a time of 19:23.56. Also competing for Southeast were Sarah Johnson (26th - 19:36.98), Jacque Risley (46th - 20:12.89), Katie Mueller (72nd - 21:3.18), and Jordan Boles (74th - 21:33.76).

The Redhawks have a week off before competing in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, hosted by Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee, on October 28.
