Outlook: A returning All-American, All-OVC, and OVC Player of The Year. Bonilla should be the leader of the team and look to repeat as Player of The Year.

At Southeast
2001: Named OVC Player of the Year as he led the nation in walks, batted an incredible .382, and had a massive .645 slugging percentage. He had 20 doubles and six home runs with 34 RBI?s. He became the Southeast career leader in walks with 153 in just three seasons and looks to improve on that stat with his senior season.

2000: Started all but one game last year...went 2-for-3 vs. Missouri Baptist (4.11) with one RBI...posted four singles in five at bats against Tennessee Tech (5.7)...finished the season at third all-time with 92 walk, needs 26 more to move into first...his 39 base-on-balls was placed him third on Southeast?s season ladder...grounded into just one double play in 168 at-bats...sported a .423 on-base percentage.

1999: Played in 52 games as a freshman at second base, third base, and designated hitter...hit .341 with 59 hits and 53 walks...53 walks set a single season walk record at Southeast...Had a .496 on-base average as the Indians leadoff hitter.

Personal: A 1998 graduate of El Toro High where he was an All-League for three seasons, All-County…a short stop/pitcher standout for coach Tom McCaffrey...played in Pan-American games in 1996…holds school record for runs scored, RBIs, hits, stolen bases, walks, and total bases... born 2.6.80…son of Clemente and Linda Bonilla …physical education major…lists playing piano as his hobby…recruited by USC, Tulane and Loyola Marymount...sister Erica is a sophomore on the Southeast softball team.
