LaVeasey Carter is in second year as Graduate Assistant at Southeast, where he works in Academic Advising under the supervision of Sharon Burgard.

Carter came to Southeast in the fall of 2006 after graduating from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and and was also a member of the baseball team. In 2006, Carter was an All-Gulf South Conference selection in addition to earning Academic All-American honors in 2005 and 2006. While at West Georgia, he accepted an invitation to join Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honors business fraternity.

Carter is a 2004 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, a junior college located in his hometown of Tifton, Ga., where he also was a member of the baseball team. In 2004, Carter garnered All-Conference and All-America honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Carter is a 2001 graduate of Tift County High School, in Tifton, Ga., where he was an All-Conference and All-Tift area honoree as a member of the Blue Devil Basketball team.

Carter is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration at Southeast.
