2005: Pitched in 18 games, leading the team with 16 starts...had a 5-3 record with a 4.75 ERA...struck out 59 batters in 77.2 innings pitched...impressive in non-conference play with a 3.63 ERA in seven starts and nine games...southpaw dominated left-handed batters, holding them to just a .180 average...pitched effectively against some of the best teams in the nation, allowing no runs and striking out six in 5.1 innings against Central Michigan...best outing came on May 8 against Morehead State, went 8.0 innings and gave up just two runs.

2004: OVC All-Tournament team selection...as a weekend starter he pitched in 17 games while starting 12 games...had a record of 5-4 with an ERA of 3.72...recorded 77 strikeouts in 65.1 innings pitched...held opponents to a .245 batting average which led the OVC...10.61 strikeouts per game led the OVC.

Prep: Four sport All-State athlete (football, basketball, track, baseball)... placed in state track: high jump, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles.

Personal: Born 8-19-82...son of Robert and Cindi Herbig...is a construction management major at Southeast...was also recruited by Texas A&M, Hawaii, Kansas State and Nicholls State.
