Outlook: A returning All-OVC selection at third base Stuckey is a Player of the Year candidate in the OVC. Rated as one of the best third defensive third baseman in the league by Baseball America, Stuckey will look to win that crown again this season. A flawless hitter, Stuckey will again be the offensive sparkplug for the Tribe. At Southeast: 2002: led the team in stolen bases with 18 and moved his overall mark to 36, fourth all time on the career list at Southeast...he batted .349 and was a first-team All-OVC selection…led the team in at-bats with 229 witch set a new school record for at-bats in a season... was second in hits with 80 and was one of the team’s hottest batters down the stretch of the season at one time going 13 consecutive games with either a lead-off hit or walk.
2001: Started 49 of 50 games...hit .311 with five home runs and 28 RBI’s...was 8-12 on the base paths...had a .903 fielding percentage. 2000: Started 39 games at third base...one of two starters who didn?t hit a triple...went 1-for-2, including a double vs. Mississippi (3.4)...was a perfect 3-for-3 vs. Middle Tennessee (4.9) with two runs and one RBI...collected two hits in three at-bats against Morehead (4.21), including a double, with three RBI, one run and one stolen base. 1999: Received redshirt?practiced with the team all season. Personal: Standout athlete at Kelly High School...honorable mention All-American...first team All-State and All-Conference junior and senior years...had a career average of .395 and was 15-6 with a 2.52 ERA and 165 strikeouts...also a member of the Kelly basketball and cross country teams...born 2.10.80...son of Dale and Rita Stuckey...physical education major.
