2000: An honorable mention All-OVC pick after tossing 72.2 innings of work and picking up seven wins...finished 12th in the nation with 92 strikeouts...almost pulled off a no-hitter against UTM (4.16) with 8.2 innings on the mound and finished with 12 Ks...he was named OVC Co-Pitcher of the Week for his efforts vs. the Skyhawks...won the award outright after a 2-0 week in 10 innings of action against Westminster and Austin Peay...picked up fifth win of the season after sitting down 10 Morehead State batters (4.22) in eight innings...led the staff in conference action with a 2.83 ERA on a 4-2 record...allowed just three homers in league play...runners were able to swipe just seven bases vs. him...averaged a staff high 11.4 K’s per game...opposition hit .239 — second lowest on the staff.

At Maple Woods: Pitched at Maple Woods C.C. in Kansas City, Mo….part of a team that finished fifth in the nation in 1998 in the Junior College World Series…voted most outstanding pitcher for World Series in 1998.

Personal: Pitched on Oak Park High School team that won a Missouri state title in 1995…also played basketball at OPHS...born 10.9.77…son of Terry and Cyndi Thomas…elementary education major...looks forward to playing Oklahoma State this season because “you’ve got to beat the best to be the best”.
