CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Senior right-hander Dustin Renfrow earned a complete game victory Saturday against Tennessee Tech. Freshman Trenton Moses added four hits as the Redhawks (8-7, 2-1) won, 7-3, in the rubber match against the Golden Eagles (14-7-1, 1-2).

Renfrow threw over 120 pitches over nine innings, allowing only one earned run. He struck out six and gave up only four hits. His record improves to 1-1 on the season.

Moses notched his first career four-hit game, including two doubles. The true freshman from Advance, Mo., leads the team with a .385 batting average.

Tech got out to a two-run lead in the top of the first inning, scoring unearned runs on an error and a single up the middle by Evan Webb.

Southeast got on the board in the bottom of the third when Tyrell Cummings drove in Jim Klocke with an RBI groundout. Klocke had previously walked and moved to third on a single by Justin Wheeler.

The following inning, the Redhawks broke the game open with a five-run fourth. Moses led off the frame with his second double in as many at-bats and moved to third when Matt Wulfers reached on an error. Daniel Schuh brought in Moses to tie the game with a single through the right side. Klocke then delivered a two-run opposite field double off the base of the left field wall. Cummings would add two RBIs of his own, with a single up the middle to round out the scoring in the fourth, putting Southeast ahead 6-2.

Again, Moses led of an inning with a hit, starting the fifth with a single through the right side. He was erased at second when Matt Wulfers hit a fielder's choice. Wulfers would come around to score the final Southeast run on an RBI single by Nick Harris to right field.

Renfrow kept the Golden Eagles scoreless until the top of the ninth, when standout freshman A.J. Kirby-Jones hit a towering solo home run off of the top of the light pole in left field. The senior hurler would regroup to retire the last two Tech hitters to finish off the complete game effort.

Southeast now stands at 2-1 in Ohio Valley Conference play after winning the weekend series. SEMO will return to the diamond with a two-game midweek series against Missouri State at Capaha Field. First pitch Tuesday will be at 5 p.m. Corey Harness will make his first career start on the mound. Wednesday's game begins at 2 p.m.
