Southeast Missouri State University junior catcher Jim Klocke (St. Louis, Mo./St. John Vianney) was selected in the 46th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. He was the 1389th overall selection in the draft.

On the eve of the Major League Baseball Draft, Redhawks catcher Jim Klocke continues to make his name known as he was named to the 2009 All Ping! Honorable Mention Team. The honor is the third highly regarded honor that Klocke has received during the baseball offseason after being named to CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American and named to the Louisville Slugger All-American Third Team last week.
