CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (Feb. 19, 2007) The Fourth Annual Joe Uhls Memorial Golf Tournament and Banquet is scheduled for Mon., April 9, 2007. The golf tournament will begin at Noon at Bent Creek Golf Club in Jackson, Mo., while the banquet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

The annual event is tentatively set to feature former Cardinals and Cubs pitching great Lee Smith. Smith will be the banquet speaker at the silent auction and dinner event that follows the golf tournament. He pitched for eight teams in his 18-year career in Major League Baseball, including seven All-Star Game appearances. The right-hander's 478 career saves currently ranks second all-time in the Majors.

Other former Cardinals greats are expected to be in attendance, including Tom Pagnozzi, Whitey Herzog, Todd Worrell and Danny Cox.
