Baseball Has Fourth Game Cancelled Because of Weather
Tuscaloosa, Ala. (February 21, 2003) - The Southeast Missouri State baseball team has once again had another game washed out due to inclement weather as the first of three scheduled games at Alabama was postponed tonight in Tuscaloosa as heavy rain passed through the area. The Indians and Tide were scheduled to play the first game of a three-game series tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Heavy rains today and more expected for tomorrow, have effected this weekend's planned schedule. Tonight's game has been postponed, and re-scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m. Tomorrow's scheduled game for 4 p.m. has been pushed back to 6 p.m. and Sunday's scheduled 1 p.m. start has been pushed back to 2 p.m. This is the fourth game this season that has been lost to bad weather as all three games at the University of Oklahoma in Southeast's opening series were lost due to snow in the Norman area. All Southeast games can be heard live in the Cape Girardeau area on AM-1220 KGIR ESPN Radio, as well as on the World Wide Web at www.kgir.com. |
