March 17, 2004

Cape Girardeau, MO - The Indians put six runs on the board in the second inning to lead the Central Michigan Chippewa's 7-0. Both teams were held scoreless through one inning until Frankie Montiel broke the game wide open by lining a triple over the head of Central center fielder Jeremy Crum to score two runs. The Indians sent 11 men to the plate in the inning while holding the Chippewa's to no runs.

Southeast starter Stan Skakalski has been very good so far. He has allowed the Chippewa's only one hit so far in four innings. This is the first game of a double-header today. The first game is scheduled to go seven innings, while the second is scheduled for nine.
