Southeast Baseball Cancels Scheduled Game
Cape Girardeau, Mo. (March 25, 2003) - The Southeast Missouri State Baseball team has cancelled today's scheduled game against the Blue Tigers of Lincoln University. After rain moved in just prior to gametime head coach Mark Hogan decided to postpone today's game and reschedule a double header tomorrow at 1 p.m. Heavy rain moved over the Cape Girardeau area just about 10 minutes prior to gametime and the tarp was put on the field. After consulting the radar, and seeing not much dry weather in sight, Hogan and Lincoln coach Earl Wheeler decided on the double-header for tomorrow. Game time for game one will be at 1:00 p.m. and it will be a nine inning game, with game two following the first and being a seven inning affair. Tomorrow will be Support Our Troops Day as the Athletic Department and the baseball team will be offering a free hot dog to anyone who contributes supplies to our troops overseas. Hot dogs will be served from noon to 1:30 p.m. |
