Cape Girardeau, Mo. -- RHP Todd Pennington was selected for his third Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honor today. This is the first time he has earned the award outright after sharing the honor the first two week's of the season.

Pennington gave up just two hits and no earned runs over 8.2 innings while striking out 10 as Southeast Missouri defeat Belmont 3-1 on Saturday. The junior righthander, who improved his record to 4-0 and dropped his league-low ERA to 0.71, nearly notched his second straight shutout until an error with two outs in the 9th led to a BU run. Pennington has won his last four starts.

Pennington will return to the mound this weekend at Murray State. He is expected to throw in game one on Saturday at noon.
