April 16, 2001 Cape Girardeau, Mo. (April 16, 2001) --- Dominant performances by Southeast Missouri State's 2B Clemente Bonilla and LHP Jeffrey Hilz last week earned the duo a sweep of the OVC's Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively. The junior second basemen, who also walked eight times, went 6-for-7 with three homers in a two-game series with Memphis and scored six times in a three-game series with Tennessee-Martin. Hilz posted a 2-0 record in three appearances last week, allowing just three hits and no runs over 9.2 innings of work. The left-hander struck out 15 and walked just one during the week. Hilz, who is now 5-1, gave up just one hit and stuck out seven over 4.2 innings in two relief stints vs. UTM and tossed five shutout innings to get the win at Memphis, striking out eight.
