RICHMOND, Ky. - Game one of Saturday's doubleheader between Southeast Missouri State and Eastern Kentucky was cancelled after nearly a two-hour rain delay that started when the game was in the bottom of the 5th inning. The game was not official and the teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. central time Sunday. As a result of the cancellation before the completion of the 5th inning, no statistics count and each team's win-loss ratio is not effected. The score was tied 1-1 when the delay started.

Dustin Renfrow pitched four innings, allowing only one earned run while striking out two EKU hitters.

Southeast starting pitcher Dustin Renfrow (West Plains, Mo./Jefferson CC) pitched four innings while allowing three hits and one run with two strikeouts. Eastern Kentucky's starter, Eric Hash, completed five innings of work, surrending five hits and one unearned run to the Rehdawks.

The lone run for Southeast came on an RBI single to right field from senior Robby Moore (Rombauer, Mo./Jefferson CC) that plated Matt Wagner (Wahoo, Neb./Nebraska) in the top of the 2nd inning. Moore added another single in the top of the 5th inning. Omar Padilla (Point Reyes Station, Calif./Santa Rosa CC), Jim Klocke (St. Louis, Mo./St. John Vianney) and Matt Wulfers (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Missouri) all added singles of their own. Unfortunately, none of the statistics will count because the game never became official.

Sunday, the teams will play two seven-inning games beginning at 11 a.m. eastern time, 10 a.m. in Cape Girardeau. Senior Asif Shah (Cincinnati, Ohio/Wabash Valley CC) is scheduled to start game one with freshman Josh Syberg (St. Louis, Mo./St. John Vianney) getting the nod for game two.
