Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Teammates call him OVC Pennington. It's only fitting since RHP Todd Pennington has won the OVC Pitcher of the Week for the fifth time this season.

He picked up the honor after handing OVC regular-season champion Eastern Illinois its only loss in its conference schedule. Pennington tossed five innings in the effort - he was limited to five because of a pitch limit - and allowed just one single and no runs, while striking out five and walking no on. The win also gave Pennington the Southeast's single-season wins record with 12. He tied the record two weeks ago in the home finale against Tennessee Tech.

Pennington still owns the nation's best ERA for the third-consecutive week. He now sits at a comfortable 0.81 and is still the only qualified pitcher under 1.00.

Pennington will take the mound in Southeast's opening game this Wednesday at 3:30 vs. Austin Peay in the OVC Tournament.
