JACKSON, TENN. – The Southeast Missouri baseball team will play Jacksonville State in their first game of the Ohio Valley Conference. The Redhawks earned the second seed in the tournament and a first round bye after sweeping Eastern Illinois in the last weekend of the regular season.

Jacksonville State, who is the third seed, defeated sixth seeded UT Martin in the second game of the day 9-8, setting up the Redhawk/Gamecock matchup at 3 pm on Thursday.

The double-elimination tournament hosted by Jackson, Tenn. and Pringles Park, guarantees the Redhawks at least two games during the week.

Regardless of the outcome, the Redhawks will play on Friday.
