Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State Baseball rookie sensation DH Brad Beatty continued to collect post-season awards this season, as the freshman was recently named to the Louisville Slugger/TPX Freshman All-American honorable mention team.

Beatty, who also was an honorable mention All-OVC performer, finished second on the team and fifth in the league with a .353 batting average over 50 games. He collected 10 doubles, four homers and 32 RBI during his freshman campaign. Beatty also was second on team leaders with 28 walks.

He is the second consecutive Indian to earn freshman kudos from Louisville/TPX. Last year, SS Zach Borowiak was named to the team.

Beatty joins teammates RHP Todd Pennington and 2B Clemente Bonilla, who were second and third team selections, respectively, on the Louisville All-American team released two weeks ago.
