Three Rivers Standout Joins Southeast Baseball
June 12, 2007 CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - (Tuesday, June 12, 2007) Head baseball coach Mark Hogan announced today that catcher and infielder Kieran Bradford has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Southeast Missouri State University. Bradford has played the last two seasons at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Bradford, a native of Brisbane, Australia, helped lead the Raiders to a 28-19 record in 2007 as he earned NJCAA All-American second team honors. Batting from the right side of the plate, the sophomore catcher led Three Rivers in most offensive categories as he hit .447 with 18 doubles, four home runs and 52 runs batted in. As a freshman in 2006, Bradford hit .276 with five homers and 34 RBIs. "Kieran is an excellent addition to our team," Hogan said. "He will help offensively in the middle of our lineup and also behind the plate. We look forward to having a player of his caliber as a part of our team." Bradford will join the Redhawks in practice this fall and he will have two years of eligibility remaining with Southeast. He joins former Southeast infielder Tristen McDonald and pitcher Brad Purcell as the only Australian baseball players to ever play at Southeast. |
