Christian Named Third Team All-American By Baseball Coaches

Mount Pleasant, Mich. (June 25, 2003) - Senior second baseman Justin Christian was named to his second All-American team today as the American Baseball Coaches Association named him to their third team. Christian was previously named a third team All-American by TPX and the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Christian was the Rookie of the Year this season in the OVC after finishing in the top ten in ten different categories. He was second in stolen bases, third in triples, fourth in homers, fifth in hits, runs, slugging, and total bases, seventh in RBI and batting average and tenth in on base percentage. Overall, he was second on the team in batting average with a .376 mark and third in homers and RBI with 13 and 48, respectively.

He joins Eastern Kentucky's Josh Anderson (second team) as the lone representatives from the OVC.
