Cape Girardeau, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri State baseball team will be hosting a tryout for walk-on players Thursday, Sept. 11, at 5:00 p.m. at Cpaha Field.

Southeast Missouri State finished the 2003 season with a 31-20 record, posting a 14-6 OVC record, good enough for second place in the Conference.

After last season's campaign, the Indians had two players picked in the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft. Zack Borowiak was picked by the Boston Red Sox in the 14th round, and 2003 OVC pitcher of the year Tim Alvarez was picked up in the 36th round by the San Francisco Giants.

This season Southeast will attempt to recapture the OVC crown that they won in 2002.
