Oct. 25, 2007

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Due to inclimate weather this week, the remainder of the 2007 Steak & Beans World Series has been cancelled. The five-game series was won by the Black team, who came back to win, 3-2, after losing the first two games in walk-off fashion.

The fall series was very competitive with three of the five games going extra innings, including two walk-off home runs and a four-run rally in the 13th inning of game two. The Redhawks conclude the fall practice season and will prepare themselves in the weight room for their season opener Feb. 28, 2008, at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
