REDHAWKS BASEBALL
Today, more than ever, the Southeast Missouri State baseball Redhawks are poised to become a true national contender. Since 1998, Southeast has won two Ohio Valley Conference tournament championships, earned two NCAA Regional Tournament berths and produced nine All-Americans and 14 current professional athletes. In 2002, the Southeast baseball team defeated Alabama in the first round of the NCAA Regional Tournament and became the first team ever to beat the Crimson Tide at their home field during Regional competition.
Redhawks student-athletes have experienced the same success in the classroom and the community. They graduate at a rate that ranks among the best in the OVC; furthermore, many student-athletes have earned school, conference or national academic honors and awards. Through their continuous hard work on the playing field and in the classroom, the young men have established Southeast as one of the premier baseball programs in the nation.
THE CHALLENGE
To ensure that the student-athletes of the Redhawks baseball program can continue to excel, it is important to overcome the financial burdens faced by burgeoning NCAA Division I baseball programs. The cost of continued progress is measured in dollars and cents. The baseball program at Southeast is must be able to offer the maximum number of scholarships allowed by the NCAA in order to continue to attract talented players on a local, regional and national horizon. Without address the student-welfare issues, it is not possible to show the Southeast student-athletes and new recruits that the Redhawks baseball program is serious about success.
Redhawks head coach Mark Hogan and former St. Louis Cardinal Tom Pagnozzi have established the Southeast Missouri State Dugout Club to overcome these challenges. The Dugout Club is your opportunity to participate in a new fundraising arm for the Redhawks baseball program. By supporting the young men of the Redhawks baseball program, you can personally witness the value of your contribution. Your financial assistance and contributions are vital to the success of the baseball program and the young men affiliated with it.
GOALS & PRIORITIES
Currently, the Dugout Club is underway on a five-year, $2.5 million capital campaign. The capital campaign has been developed to meet three goals essential to the continued success and progress of the Redhawks baseball program.

Full funding will allow an additional five to eight quality student-athletes to sign with the Redhawks baseball program. Ø Estimated cost: $25,000 per year or a $500 scholarship endowment
2) Recruiting: Identifying and attracting quality student-athletes is the most important job of the Redhawks baseball program. Your assistance will allow enable the Redhawks baseball program to better demonstrate to a great number of student-athletes the quality of the program at Southeast. The coaching staff will be able to visit more recruit and more aggressively recruit others. Ø Estimated cost: $10,000 per year.
3) Indoor Baseball Facility: In the off-season, the Redhawks baseball program battles with seven other athletic teams to use Houck Field House. It is critical that the student-athletes at Southeast have the opportunity to receive quality pitching and hitting instruction in a private, fully furnished indoor baseball practice facility.
