Gary Abner Position: Assistant Coach (Wichita State) Assistant Coach: 3rd season at Southeast

Gary Abner will be in his third year on the Southeast basketball coaching staff.

A 1998 graduate of Wichita State, Abner prevoiusly served as an assistant at Butler County Community College, UMKC, Hutchinson Community College and Cumberland College.

Abner is involved in all aspects of the basketball program and will be an off-campus recruiter.

"Coach Abner has been on the road recruiting for several years and has proven to be an excellent recruiter," said head coach Gary Garner. "He has a great rapport with players and has the experience of having worked under several outstanding coaches."

Abner played junior college basketball at Cowley County Community College in Kansas.

Originally from Clearwater, Kansas, Abner is single and resides in Cape Girardeau.
