Tyler Koonce is in his third year as a student assistant in the Southeast Sports Information Department. He currently serves as the primary media contact for baseball and secondary contact for football and men's basketball. He travels to away contests with the football and baseball teams and is responsible for the day-to-day media requests for those sports while frequently contributing content to GoSoutheast.com.

In the summer of 2008, Koonce worked a Public Relations internship for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.

Koonce is a student member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He is currently a senior at Southeast and is scheduled to graduate in Dec. 2009.

Originally from Lee's Summit, Mo., Koonce graduated from Lee's Summit North High School in 2005.
