Redhawks Defeat Eastern Kentucky 66-55

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Kenard Moore scored 17 points to lead Southeast Missouri State to a 66-55 Ohio Valley Conference win over Eastern Kentucky. The league leading Redhawks are now 10-5 overall and 5-0 in the OVC.

Moore was 5-8 from 3-point range and 2-2 from the line. He led a 6-0 run with a pair of treys late in the game to give the Redhawks a 13-point lead at 56-43 with 6:10 remaining.

Calvin Williams had 10 points for Southeast with Brandon Foust adding eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky, 6-7 overall and 3-2 in the OVC, was led by freshman Justin Stommes with 19 points. Mike Rose added 14 for the Colonels.

Southeast will go on the road to play at Eastern Illinois on Saturday. The tipoff will be a 7:30 p.m. at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill.
