NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Michael Stokes scored 18 points as Southeast Missouri State defeated Tennessee State 88-57 Thursday night.

Tennessee State (3-10, 0-1 Ohio Valley Conference) fell behind early, with Southeast Missouri State (9-4 1-1) leading by as many as 21 points in the first half.

The Indians shot 53.8 percent from the field, compared to just 35.5 percent by Tennessee State.

Emmanuel McCuthinson added 12 points for the Indians, and led rebounding for the game with nine grabs. Amory Sanders also scored in double-digits for Southeast Missouri with 15 points, while Terry Rogers added 13.

Aloushala Ajanuku led the Tigers with 12 points. John Gilmore and Jamie Roberts scored 11 each.
