Southeast Gains Road Win At Eastern Illinois

Charleston, Ill. - Southeast Missouri State shot a seasonal high 53% to gain a 72-60 Ohio Valley Conference road win at Eastern Illinois. The Redhawks are 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the OVC.

The Redhawks jumped out to an early lead at 11-9 and never trailed the rest of the way. With Roy Booker scoring 16 points, the Redhawks led 37-27 at the half.

With Booker scoring the first six points of the second half, the Redhawks led by as many as 15 points. Booker finished the game with 26 points, five rebounds and fived assistgs. Terrick Willoughby added 15 points on 6-9 shooting from the field.

Eastern Illinois, 2-9 overall and 1-4 in the OVC, was led by Bobby Catchings with 19 points while Josh Gomes added 10.

The Redhawks continue on the road for a game at Murray State, 7:15 p.m., Saturday.
