Redhawks Rally For 80-65 Win Over Eastern Illinois

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Junior Michael Rembert scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Southeast Missouri State to an 80-65 Ohio Valley Conference win over Eastern Illinois.

The Redhawks, 5-11 overall and 3-4 in the OVC, trailed 31-30 at the half, but shot 56% from the field in the second half including 62% from three. Southeast also hit 8-13 free throws in the second half.

Four other Redhawks joined Rembert in double figures. David Johnson and Terrick Willoughby each had 12, JaJuan Maxwell 11 and Roderick Pearson 10.

Eastern Illinois, 5-11 overall, but just 1-6 int he OVC, was led by freshman Romain Martin,

The Redhawks will play at Murray State on Monday, 7:30 p.m.
