Murray State Defeats Southeast Missouri 81-68

Murray, Ky. - Murray State placed four players in double figures to lead the Racers wot an 81-68 Ohio Valley Conference win over Southeast Missouri State. The win keeps the Racers in a first place tie in the OVC.

The Racers, who led by only four at the half, held Southeast to just six field goals in the second half as they pulled away for the victory. Murray State is 8-4 overall and 5-1 and in a first place tie with Samford in the OVC.

Shawn Witherspoon, Issian Redding and Darnell Hopkins all had 15 points for the Racers while Justin Orr added 11. Southeast Missouri, 6-8 overall and 3-5 in the OVC, was led by Roy Booker with 20 points while Terrick Willoughby added 16.

Southeast will return to the Show Me Center for a game against Austin Peay on Saturday, Jan. 14, 7:30 p.m.
