Redhawks Beat Murray State 96-85

Murray, Ky. - Brandon Foust scored a career high 23 points to lead Southeast Missouri State to a 96-85 Ohio Valley Conference win over Murray State. The road win gives Southeast a 4-4 record in the OVC.

Southeast led 43-37 at the half and led by as many as 15 points in the second half. David Johnson had 18 points for the Redhawks while Roderick Pearson, this week's OVC Freshman of the Week, had 17 points and Johnny Hill a career high 16 points.

Murray State, 7-9 overall and 5-3 in the OVC, was led by Tyler Holloway with 24 points.

The Redhawks shot just 28-47 from the free throw line, but got big second half free throws from Pearson who was 10-12 and Johnson who was 7-8.

Southeast goes on the road on Saturday in an OVC game against Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn.
